Spread the love

Gaming is all about fun and thrill! The best experience comes with the best device to play on!

What if you love gaming but do not have the compatible devices to play it with, so what’s the use of it then?

You need to have the best equipment and features to play the game rightfully. So if you are a Dota 2 lover and cannot decide the device best suited for it, then you have landed on the best spot. Team LAPTOPS CONSIDER have shortlisted some of the best laptops for this game. These laptops are from expensive ones to cheaper ones, so that money does not become a hurdle.

 1. Acer Aspire E15 (E5-575-33BM)

PROS
  • HD display
  • Long battery life
  • All useful ports
CONS
  • Small viewing angels

The Acer Aspire E15 is one of the best value for money laptop that you can get for yourself for multiple purposes. It costs only $600 and I have to say this is one of the best laptops you can under 700 dollars that you can get these days.

Let’s see why I’m praising about this laptop so much.

The 15.6-inch IPS display isn’t the best in the market but it is decent enough to play Dota 2 or watch any movies/ videos. The build quality of this machine is very good and Acer has kept the design of the laptop very simple and straightforward. The laptop weighs 5.3 lbs (2.4 kg) which is fairly portable compared to the above HP Omen.

Acer has offered 256GB SATA SSD which is again not the fastest storage out there but for its pricing, it is decent. The system boots up in just under 10 seconds which is brilliant in my opinion. There is an additional slot to add more storage either an HDD or an SSD on this laptop which is really great in my opinion.

The processor you are going to get on this laptop is Intel’s 8th Gen Core i5 processor i.e Intel Core i5-8250U which does a fine job at handling any task you throw at it. Along with that, you are also getting discrete GPU i.GeForce MX150. Apart from Dota 2, this graphics card is capable of playing other games at decent Frame Rates (FPS).

You can check out the gaming performance from the below video where 14 games have tested on this laptop.

The laptop also comes with an LED-backlit keyboard which is very hard to find at this budget. I have to appreciate Acer for providing this useful feature in their budget gaming laptop.

One of the best things about this Acer Aspire E 15 is, its amazing Battery life.

Acer claims that it can last up to 15 hours but it is safe to assume around 10-hours of battery life while doing lightweight tasks. If you are a student, maybe in a school or college studying electrical or civil engineering and need a full day of charge, then this laptop could be a perfect option for you.

Overall, this is a very good option for Dota 2 laptops.

DESIGN:

Razer is known for its well designed and cool laptop models. This particular laptop is no exception as this also provides a unique design unlike those we see in Dell and Asus models.

The back of the model is ink black matte body. The center holds the Razer Logo of the 3 serpents.  This embossed emblem gleams and reflects all possible colors. The edges of the lid are not curved very much rather these look edged.

Acer Nitro 5 comes with a black colored appearance with a little touch of crimson. Such a combination gives a romantic vibe when you look towards the model. There is also crimson edging on the keypad and the keyboard keys. The keyboard location is also signified clearly by engraving it inside the chassis by diagonal cuts.

The chassis also contains a keypad located a bit left to the middle line of the chassis. The edges of the chassis are cut diagonally to give a sharp feeling. Same edges are provided on the top side of the display screen.

The back side of the device gives off a strong vibe. An Acer logo is engraved in the center while the opposite sides have a line growing diagonally inside and leaving an impression; just pointing out the logo in the middle. The exhaust system is present on the backside of the chassis below the screen.

Acer Nitro 5’s design really gives the look of a Leopard with sharp teeth.

DISPLAY:

Acer Nitro 5 is disappointing when it comes to displaying. Although being 15.6 inches in size, the screen looks colorless. While watching any action thriller movies, the colors seemed to be mixing.

But there is a solution to that too. By using Windows 10 color Calibration software, you can lower down the red and green tones and you can immediately improve the white balance of the display screen.

As a positive perspective, the display screen of Acer Nitro 5 is quite sharp. All the details in spite of color dullness, were visible and clearly differentiated, thanks to the screen resolution of 1080 pixels.

Talking about the brightness of this device, it is reasonably good. It marked 257 nits of brightness. Luckily, It is two points above the budget-gaming category average brightness.

Dell Inspiron 15 comes with a smooth black colored model design with some parts shaded as greyish black. The backside of the model comes with glossy greyish black color. The center holds the Dell logo in red. The sides of the lid are curved and the edges are sharp.

The front lid of the device looks like a TV’s LED. The lid casing is thick and the upper strip of it contains the webcam. The lower strip had DELL engraved on it.

The lid is connected to the chassis with the help of a central hinge. This hinge makes the lid to be popped out and higher than the chassis when opened. The chassis itself is black in color. The keyboard buttons are present on the chassis without any specific boundary. This is because the buttons are present above the chassis and the base is leveled with it. The writings on the buttons are also red in color.

The touchpad comes with a size of 4.1 x 3.1 inches is made up of plastic. So the feels that come from the metal or glass touchpads is missing. But the keypad is nice and spacious.

DISPLAY:

Back when we had the original Dell Inspiron 15, the display features were horrible. But thanks to Dell that it revived the display features during this time. 15.6 inches screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels is not the best one present in the market but still manages to provide more accurate colors and wide view angles when converted with an IPS screen. Apart from that, the screen is sharper and details out everything while watching movies or playing games.

The brightness of the model is also below the average category of 2t3 nits and measured to be233 nits. But on a brighter note, the Predator and Legion are dimmer than Inspiron 15 by having a brightness of 226 nits and 220 nits respectively.

7. HP Omen 17

The HP Omen 17 is a premium laptop that costs a little expensive but in return, you are getting a solid laptop with a super-fast performance which is hard to ignore.

Let’s talk about that in detail.

This HP Omen laptop comes with a 17.3-inch IPS anti-glare display which produces excellent color quality and delivers every detail of the object that appears on the screen. This is an excellent display to play Dota 2 or any other game. This anti-glare display will surely help you play games even at outdoor conditions without causing any issues.

For storage, you are getting 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Disk Drive (HDD) along with 128GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. You can install other games on SSD for smooth performance and save other big files on HDD. The processor under the hood is, Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 Processor i.e Intel Core i7-8750H. It has 6 cores and 12 threads which is great to run any kind of application with ease. The system remains cool even while pushing the CPU to perform any heavy task. One of the best things about this laptop is its keyboard. The lettering is a little big than usual which helps while typing and it comes with RGB backlit which will surely help you play games at night times.

The laptop weighs about 8 lbs (3.6 kg) which is on the heavy side but hey, this is a gaming laptop and most of the gaming laptops tend to be heavy.

8. Lenovo Ideapad L340

The Lenovo Ideapad L340 is a high-end gaming laptop that costs a little over $900 and I have to say this laptop is worth spending your money.

Let’s see what it has to offer for $900.

The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display which is good but again, just like the above laptop the display should have been better. The overall build of this laptop is quite decent and there’s nothing much to complain about.

Lenovo has offered 1TB HDD and 256GB NVMe SSD as storage options which are really great. An 8GB DDR4 RAM has offered on this machine to run multiple applications simultaneously. The processor you are getting on this laptop is Intel Core i7-9750H which is one of the fastest processors out there in the market.

The graphics card inside the laptop is GeForce GTX 1050 which is again more than enough to play Dota 2 and many other modern games. You are also getting a backlit feature in the keyboard which pretty cool and useful while using the laptop at late nights.

The laptop weighs around 4.8 lbs (2.37 kg) which is again fairly lightweight and it won’t be very hard to travel around with this laptop.

Lenovo claims to offer 9 hours of battery life but it is far from reality. You can get between 4-5 hours of battery life which isn’t that great in my opinion.

9. Dell G3

The Dell G3 is a mid-range gaming laptop from Dell which is targeted towards buyers who are looking to buy a decent gaming laptop under $1000.

The 17.3-inch IPS display of this display is decent to play games and media consumption. The build of this laptop is very rigid and strong. This is what you can expect from a renowned brand like Dell.

128GB SSD and 1TB HDD are offered on this laptop for both performance and storage purposes. The processor inside the machine is Intel Core i5-8300H which has 4 cores and 8 threads. The maximum power you can get from this CPU is 4.00 GHz. Dell should have offered a better processor at this price but this is what you are getting inside the machine.

The GPU on this laptop makes up for the processor. You are getting GTX 1060 6GB graphics card which is really worth appreciating because it is hard to find this GPU in this budget. Apart from a powerful GPU, you are also getting decent set ports i.e 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2, HDMI 2.0, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C.

The laptop weighs around 6.2 lbs (2.8 kg) and it is the heaviest laptop of this list. If you are looking for a lightweight laptop to use while traveling, then this might not be your best option. You have to look for other options.

The battery life on this Dell G3 is pretty average. You can get around 4 hours while doing low-moderate demanding tasks.

10. ASUS VivoBook F510UA

The ASUS VivoBook F510UA is a typical budget laptop from Asus which is aimed at lightweight to moderate type of users. This isn’t a very powerful laptop as it comes with only an integrated graphics card and not with a discrete one. Even with integrated GPU, you can easily play Dota 2 without any issues. It costs around $600 and it is worth considering for sure.

The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch full HD display which is bright and sharp. The build quality is also decent for its budget. The storage you’ll be getting on this machine is 128GB SSD+1TB HDD. The SSD is very fast and boots up the system really quick.

The processor which comes with ASUS VivoBook F510UA is the same as the above Acer Aspire E 15 i.e Intel Core i5 8250U. This mid-range CPU does perform really well in any situation which is really great.

One of the unique features of this laptop is, its Fingerprint reader. Yes, you read that right. Asus has provided this useful feature in their budget laptop to unlock the system very quickly. It is quite rare to find a laptop with a Fingerprint ID in just $600 machine. The laptop weighs only 3.7 lbs (1.6 kg) and it is the lightest laptop of this list. If you are planning to get a lightweight laptop to play Dota 2 while traveling, then this could be your perfect option.

While playing Dota 2 or performing any moderate demanding tasks, you can expect 4 hours of battery life and while doing any lightweight tasks, you can get around 8 hours of battery life which is pretty good I would say.

At last, I just want to say this is a decent Dota 2 laptop in the budget segment.
